Built, tested, and shipped ready to run.

For operations that need a complete processing system rather than a solitary tank, Protank builds and customizes full turnkey solutions. Tanks can be outfitted with pumps, piping, valves, sensors, containment, heat tracing, insulation, and more, assembled as a coordinated unit. Before shipment, every system is function-tested to confirm operational performance, so it arrives ready to connect and run, not ready to assemble from stock.

This single source advantage goes beyond convenience. When Protank builds or installs every component, then compatibility across size, shape, chemical solution, liquid control, and tank functionality match from the start. This eliminates the vendor inconsistencies and wait times, setup surprises, and field modifications that come with sourcing components separately.

Eight application categories. One fabrication shop.

Protank’s custom process tank systems match a wide range of applications. Below are our top service categories. If your application isn’t listed, contact us. If it involves custom plastic tanks and integrated systems, we’ve likely built something similar.

Materials, sizing, connections, and specialized add-ons to match your specific chemicals, workflow, and operating temperatures.

  • Polypropylene (PP)Primary fabrication material for most industrial service. Available in homopolymer (PP-H) or copolymer (PP-C) sheet stock. PP-H is recommended for high temp rigidity; PP-C for impact toughness, low temp performance, and stress crack resistance. Operating range 30°F–210°F, 180°F maximum continuous.
  • High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)For specific chemical compatibility or impact resistance needs. Weldable in natural/white and black.
  • PVC and CPVCFor applications where PP is a less ideal chemical match. CPVC extends into hot, non-oxidizing corrosive applications outside PVC capability.
  • PVDF (Kynar)For strong oxidizers, aggressive acids, elevated temperatures, and high purity scenarios where PP, PVC, CPVC, and HDPE are incompatible or insufficient. Available for full tank construction or as a liner over another tank material.
  • FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic)For high strength structural applications, large volumes, or chemicals incompatible with other materials.

  • Tank designsSingle tank or fully modular multi-tank systems made to match your workflow and floor plan.
  • Made to sizeCustom sizes from small volume precision tanks to several thousands of gallons.
  • Top designClosed top, open top, or open top with various lid options in polypropylene or polycarbonate.
  • Tank shapeCylindrical, rectangular, square, or fully custom asymmetrical shapes.
  • Conical / hopper bottomFor gravity drain, solids settling, or full evacuation applications.
  • Tank thicknessWall thickness customized for varying load, chemical exposure, equipment mounting, and temperature requirements.

  • FittingsInlet, outlet, drain, overflow, and vent fittings in PVC, CPVC, PVDF Kynar, EPDM, Viton, and stainless steel.
  • Flow managementPipes, pumps, flow meters, strainers, and gauges to move and manage process liquids.
  • Liquid controlBaffles, skimmers, and overflow weirs to improve fluid dynamics and achieve process control.
  • Vapor controlVented lids, hoods, and fume connections for safe gas management and scrubber system integration.
  • Mobile compatibilityForklift compatible designs with built-in pockets or structural frames.

  • Agitation systemsTop mounted mechanical mixers, recirculation agitation, or air sparging connections.
  • Monitoring accessoriesReal time monitoring of temperature, flow, liquid levels, and leaks.
  • Heat tracingInduction heating systems with programmable temperature controllers.
  • Secondary containmentSpill basins, double wall tanks, and containment bases.

  • Sheet thicknessWeldable from 3/16" to 1", specified to load, chemical exposure, equipment mounting, and temperature requirements.
  • Welding methodsHand/bead (hot gas) welding for detail work, fittings, and corners; extrusion welding for thicker and structural joints.
  • External structural reinforcementSteel box-section or I-beam girders and ribs encased in polypropylene, added according to your engineering spec and strength requirements for large, tall, or high load-bearing tanks.

Built right, the first time.

01

In-house fabrication

Every tank is built at Protank's own facility by our experienced fabrication team, not outsourced. This means direct quality control over every weld, fitting, and assembly for consistent workmanship and faster lead times on every project.

02

Application experience depth

From complete multi-stage plating/anodizing lines and acid scrubber systems to chemical dosing systems and temperature controlled tanks, Protank has built it. Whatever your job requires, the experience to build it correctly is already in our shop.

03

Retrofit and replacement capability

Protank regularly replaces aging or failed steel, fiberglass, and plastic workflow tanks. If your existing system is degraded, undersized, or chemically incompatible, we can build a replacement that fits your existing footprint and connections.

04

Process review

Material selection, fitting specifications, and system design are reviewed against your specific chemicals, concentrations, and operating temperatures before we begin work.

05

Pre-shipment testing

Every turnkey tank system is tested before it leaves our facility to confirm the complete assembly is operational, so your system arrives ready to connect and run.

06

Nationwide delivery

Protank ships custom fabricated tanks across the continental US, from our facilities to both coasts, with end-to-end support from consult through delivery.
