Water Tanks

Plastic water storage tanks are specifically designed for the bulk storage of water. Also known as cisterns, they are commonly utilized for potable drinking water, farm irrigation, rainwater harvesting, municipal water, and for emergency water supply and fire suppression. These poly water tanks are used in the agricultural, industrial, commercial, and residential industries. Available models of polyethylene water storage tanks include vertical water tanks, rainwater collection tanks, and underground water tanks.

Poly water tanks are rotationally molded with quality high density polyethylene resin. They are durable, rugged, and resistant to impact, tears, and punctures. Polyethylene water tanks are naturally resistant to rust and corrosion, making them a better choice for water storage over concrete and iron water tanks. Most are manufactured from FDA approved, food grade virgin polyethylene, NSF 61 certified for long term use in storing, handling, and distributing potable water. The polyethylene resin includes UV inhibitors to protect against sunlight degradation of the plastic. They are resistant to ranging weather and temperatures, and are approved for indoor and outdoor applications.

Vertical water storage tanks are freestanding and do not require additional support. Available colors include black, green, beige, gray, white, red and yellow, with some light and dark variant options. Tanks are opaque and white also has a transparent model. Opaque tanks limit sunlight infiltration, minimizing algae growth. Black and green tanks are the most commonly used.

Polyethylene water cisterns are provided in a wide range of dimensions and capacities. Fluid capacities are offered from 10 gallons to 20,000 gallons. Water tanks come standard with self vented, slosh proof lids, 1.5’’ fill fittings, and 2’’ drain fittings. Many manufacturer tank modifications and customization options are available. Options include additional fittings and connections, add-on ladders, sight gauges, heat tracing, insulation, and tie down systems.
